BROADWAY!!

So I have been obsessed with theater since I was in middle school and I always like to tell people that I am Broadway Bound but my heart is truly in music ministry.  Anyways I am obviously really bored right now and so I thought I would post about how much I love Broadway musicals and post some stuff about my favorite ones.  I don't have long b/c it is preview weekend at my school and I have a prospective student staying with me tonight in my dorm and I have to go meet them at 3:30 in the gym so... anyways.  These are my fav shows.  The first few are the ones that I have actually seen and the others I have the recordings and want to see them very badly!!

BUSYness!!

So it has been exactly a month today since my last post. I really WOULD love to keep this thing active daily but it is pretty much impossible for a college student to do that in my opinion. I too am still learning to tricks and trade of blogging so it is hard for me to come up with stuff to talk about so... anyways...

Since my last post I have been on the road alot. Bethany, Jackie, and I went to Atlanta on a quickie weekend roadtrip, IMPACT went to Texas and I've been to the beach a couple of times. So it has been pretty crazy over the past month.
Alot has gone on with me emotionally and spiritually as well. God has really been moving in my life and I am very thankful for it. I have been going through some weird relational things and it has put a BIG strain on me at times. But God has moved in these situations and begun to fix/heal things.

I compare things to TV shows alot. We experienced a very intense episode recently. Now we are in that slow and weird stage after the BIG event. There is some "drama" going on right now that it getting worse but is happening internally amongst my friends and I. I am not really apart of it, but it is kinda strange because it isn't discussed when we are together but you can feel the tension and it is talked about in smaller one on one situations. But it is soon going to be out in the open. I am praying that God will move and do what He sees fit to settle the entire thing and bring a good "Season Finale" We also have some fairly new cast members as well which has been really cool but has also caused some of the new drama. But the new members are here to stay, now we must see if some of the old will remain or will be written out...

Since I last posted I have become addicted to the show Heroes. Clay, John Michael, Miles, Katie, and I have watched the entire first season and I am hooked. Can't wait til Season 2 comes out.
I also have gotten back into reading whenever I have time. I have taken to reading entire books on free weekends. During the week I really don't have much free time so it has been nice since IMPACT has had a couple of weekends off to have some time to myself on the weekends. I have read Three by Ted Dekker which was AMAZING and then I read Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom which was very inspirational and just a feel good book all together.

I mentioned earlier how God has really been moving and working on me spiritually. I have been really frustrated recently with where I am going currently and what I am supposed to be doing in prep for the summer. This morning in my study time I ready about when Moses was leading the people of Israel through the Red Sea. Moses reminded the people that God would work in our lives if we would just be silent and trust Him. That was soo amazing to be reminded of. I am never very silent about anything so I forget easily that when we wait on God and are quiet He will speak then. Until we are just silent and listen for His voice it is harder to hear what He wants us to know.

I pray blessing on all who are reading this and I hope that you are well.
God Bless!!!!

Singing, Schooling, and Traveling

When last weekend came, IMPACT had rehearsal for 3 hours on Saturday and then had an AMAZING party at Dr. Sanchez's house where we got some gifts!!  Then we sang two services, and AM and PM on Sunday.  Both were amazing!!!!

I found Season 1 of the show HEROES at a store for $20!!  I was really excited because I have been wanting to watch it for so long, but was waiting til it went on sale somewhere and I finally found it!!  One night, me and a couple of my friends stayed up until 5:30 am watching it.  It is soooo addictive.  So I definitely would suggest that you check it out.

Finally on Wednesday, school started.  I think that this semester is going to be ok.  My classes are going to be challenging but I think that I am ready for it.  We are also going to be traveling ALOT with IMPACT this semester.  Later on this month we are going to Texas!!  That is going to be FUN!!!!

Through all of the business of college life, I am so thankful that I have God with me to carry me through it all.  It can be painfully stressful managing school, work, singing, traveling, and friends all at once.  There are times when I just want to say "I quit" but I KNOW that is not God's plan for me.  So, when I start feeling that way, I just remember that and then I feel so much better.  The Lord is a strong and solid rock that I can always cling to and He is there.  It is amazing to have a relationship like that with Him.

Now I am in Atlanta with Bethany because she left ALOT of her clothes at home on accident so we came to get them this weekend and have a little roadtrip.  So it should be fun!!

Here are a couple of pics from the past week for ya!!

Funny Videos

These are some funny videos that some friends showed me on YouTube. You may or may not have seen them because they are pretty popular, but even so they are hilarious so you must watch them. The first though is just one of me and a friend of mine being crazy. The others though are hilarious of people falling on TV. Also a GREAT one if you love dance, and then one my brother showed me from a British show called IT Crowd. There are also a couple of pics from today. ENJOY!!

Just thought this was cool
The only time you will EVER see this fountain frozen!!  The low last night was 16!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!

One Way Streets and Sunsets

Ok after we left Panera after sitting there for 3 hours on the internet, John Michael and I went to Downtown to take some pics.  We ended up going in the Battle House Renaissance Hotel (which is gorgeous on the inside by the way) and exploring.  It was pretty funny because we ran into some other people who were exploring as well and we kept bumping into them.  Anways.  We had actually gone in to escape the cold because it was about 32 outside.  COLD!!!!  It is never that cold in Mobile.  And I had been in the hotel before, so I was like, "Let's walk around so I can show you some of it."  Well we ended up on the roof, but it was AWESOME because it was the first time I had been that high and you could see the sunset out over the skyline.  It was pretty cool to see some of God's beautiful work.  So I was able to take my first sunset pictures. And something else cool was that it wasn't a beach sunset which is usually what I always see so I was pretty excited.  Anyways, I'm starting to ramble on now, so here are some of the pics I took including the sunset.  Also if it works there is a video from the front balcony of the hotel so you can see the hurricane force winds that made it even colder.  Oh and you get a taste of John Michael wannabe British/Irish accent.  Enjoy!!  On my way to work now YAY!!  NOT!! :) :)

Back at HOME

So even though my parents would HATE it that I said I was back home which is at school. I will say that I am back home because I am here more than I am there so this IS home for now. Anyways. I got back in about lunchtime today and went to have lunch with John Michael. I bought season 1 of HEROES because I have always wanted to watch it so now I can. So I don't have much else to say so I'm just gonna show you some pics from when Josh and Stephanie got back from NYC!!

Happy New Year

It's New Year's Day!! Hope that everyone had a great time on New Year's Eve. I am definitely excited about this year because I have alot of opportunities for some pretty awesome stuff later on in the year. But anyways right now I'm hanging out at my brother's before I have to go back to school tomorrow for work. He and his fiancee just returned from a week in New York for Christmas to visit her Dad. Go to his blog at mindofgraham.blogspot.com And then IMPACT will be singing this weekend. I'm really excited because we will be coming back together after not singing together for a month!! And we're singing at my church where I go to school so that is going to be alot of fun!!

But I hope that everyone else is also excited and looking forward to their new year. I know that God has many AMAZING plans for me this year and I hope that He does for you as well. It is truly incredible to me how far God has taken me in the past year and what I have been able to do and accomplish. I would not have been able to do it had I not had Him beside me every step of the way. So thank You LORD for that.

My prayer for whoever is reading this is that you will have a happy, safe, and blessed NEW YEAR!!!!

God Bless!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I hope that everyone is finding this post after having an awesome Christmas.
I must say that mine has been pretty different this year.  Not really in a good way.
I spent half of my break in the bed because of my tonsil surgery.  My little cousin Macey Belle helped out with my recovery a lot by keeping me company when she came over.  She is absolutely amazing!!  I have a BIG attachment to her because she was born just a couple of months before I left home for college.  So we kinda both began a new life.  It is also been a growing time.  She is growing physically into a beautiful girl and I have been growing spiritually in the Lord.  So I am very thankful for that today.
Back to Christmas...
It has been different this year because my brother and his fiancee went to New York this year to visit her dad so they were not here which was weird.  Then my Dad's sisters have been in a feud of sorts and are not speaking so it has kinda split the family down the middle.  So that was obviously different this year.  Going to my mom's family for Christmas Eve was the same as always though so I guess that is good.  But anyways.  It has just been me and Mama and Daddy today and they have been asleep almost all day.  So I've pretty much been alone for Christmas this year.
However in the midst of it all I am still very thankful that I am able to celebrate Christmas and that Christ came into this world so that not only I may have, but that you may have life as well.
I hope and pray that the rest of you have had an amazing Christmas and that the Lord will bless your New Year beyond what you could ever imagine!!
Merry Christmas!!!!
